The goal of vocational rehabilitation plan development is to help the recovering worker to return to work as quickly as possible, to a job compatible with the work restrictions provided by the physician, with pay as close as possible to the pre-injury wages.
The rehabilitation plan is developed by the Vocational Specialist with the input and mutual agreement of the recovering worker. The recovering worker is held to this plan throughout the rehabilitation process. Careful documentation of adherence to this plan is completed and is shared with the referral source on a regular basis throughout the rehabilitation process.
However, if during the rehabilitation process, insurmountable barriers are noted and the rehabilitation plan is not progressing as projected, the CompAlliance Vocational Specialist has the education, expertise and credentials to support their findings!
